Cynwyd
A mage, but not a very powerful one. However, he makes up for that with his theoretical knowledge of just about anything--for example, any mage can cast a light spell; Cynwyd can tell you how it works, and probably suggest a few improvements. The glasses he wears are not for vision correction--they have spells for that sort of thing--but allow him to see various levels of magical energy. Most mages can do this without anything to help them, but Cynwyd prefers to use as little power as possible, since he doesn't have all that much. He is worried about the general decline and apathy of most of the shadow-world, but no one takes him seriously.
Physical description: Very pale blond hair, almost white. Blue eyes.
