Angwyn

The requisite tortured-by-his-past, wants-to-kill-himself angst-boy. -_-;; He actually has an excuse, though. His younger sister Rhyl was kidnapped about 80-100 years before the main storyline, by Lluryf, who had sworn undying vengence on their mother, Amrydhwen, for getting him banished from the realm. Angwyn took some of his friends to save her, and they failed miserably. Since Lluryf enjoys randomly torturing people, he cast a spell that gave him total control of Angwyn's body, and forced Angwyn to kill his friends. Probably slowly and painfully. His mother Amrydhwen later died of grief. Rhyl died as well, after giving birth to Lluryf's daughter Angharad. Of course, Angwyn blames himself for all this, too. (This is really depressing. It should be a novel for my AP English Literature class.) Lluryf periodically uses Angwyn to torture random people, and likes to keep Angwyn around as a reminder of past triumphs, or whatever.
